pMDsoft: Sweet Release!

This morning the press release went out announcing pMDsoft 4.0 for the BlackBerry - that’s right, my project is free of its nurturing beta womb and out there in the big scary world! I think the customer responses that you can read in the article say it all, really: the feedback that we’ve gotten has been incredibly positive on the whole. If you know any doctors who might be interested in spending less time wrestling with billing claims and more time practicing medicine, please put me in touch with them. Oh, and if you know any software developers who might be interested in a fast-paced job in a growing industry, I want to talk to them too, because we’re hiring.

It’s an exciting and rewarding feeling. Tonight we celebrate, but I can’t bask in the glory for too long: I’m already hard at work on the next version, and I’m beginning to assume management responsibilities within the company as well. At this point my job description could fairly be summarized as “Lead Software Developer”. So that’s all exciting and scary, and it’s taking me ever-closer to where I want my career to be.

(My apologies for the double pun in this post’s title. I blame the linguistic space vampires.)

That is incredibly fantastic. And I will politely disregard the pun.
