Office: Pencer -------------- You have the "Foggy" and "Victorian" Traits. Note: This Office, unlike most, has three tiers. However, access to higher tiers is gained not by spending CP; it may only be obtained through specific in-game events. (-1) Property: Pieces Of Lazarus - You may at any time look at the top card of the Clock Tower pile. This Property gives you the "Ticking" Trait if you don't already possess it. (-1) Attack: A Different Victoria's Time (Mind) - Give the target a temporal offset up to (session number) hours forward or backward from the actual time. He/she thinks it is actually this much earlier/later than it is. This effect goes away only when healed or when the target uses the "Clock Face" Recovery of the Clock Tower Plaza. (-1) Ability: Dim Recollections [mind] (No Challenge) - Pencer remembers something he does not, but his player does. (-1 per use) One Use: Complete Wipe (No Challenge) - You may activate this Ability to remove all Mind effects that Pencer is currently suffering from. This also acts as a total memory reset, however, ala Cognitive Dissonance + Lethe. (-1) Recovery: Sweet Forgetting - When you Recover attribute points by taking Lethe, Recover a point of Soul for every point of Mind that you Recover. (-1 per level) Influence: Forgetting (-2) Modifier: Forgetting -> Mnemonic Decay - You may expend a point of Influence: Forgetting to cause someone who was just involved in a challenge against you (in which you were both main participants) to forget something that you, as a player, believe he/she knows about Pencer. Once per target per session. (3*) Flaw: Cognitive Dissonance - You must activate Dim Recollections every hour, on the hour, if you have not had a dose of Lethe or another memory-removing effect in the intervening time. If you lack the Mind to do this, you must activate the Ability with Soul and gain the "Dark" Trait until you lose some memories. If you lack the Soul, you must use Body and gain the "Bloody" Trait until you lose some memories. Additionally, memory-removing effects tend to wipe your entire short-term memory, even when they would ordinarily only remove specific things. --- Requires In-Game Events To Progress Further --- (-1, -2, -3, ...) Property: Traces Of Lazarus - When speaking one-on-one with someone, you may always ask whether he/she has the "Ticking" Trait if you do not yet know. You are at +(your level of Traces Of Lazarus) to all challenges against someone you know to have this Trait. (-2) Attack: Archive Access (Mind) - Specify any number of parameters related to the target's memories (i.e. "you were armed, your father was there, and the number of people present was between 3 and 4"). If the target can think of any memories that his/her character has that match these parameters, then he/she must share one with you. (-1) Ability: Temporal Calculations [mind] (No Challenge) - Draw the top card of the Clock Tower pile and take its effect, then replace and shuffle as usual. (-1 per use) One Use: Traveling The Pathways (No Challenge) - You may activate this Ability between sessions to seek along the lines of interconnection between Pencer's memory and others', in search of memories related to a specified topic ("The Clock Tower" or "Synovea Ashburn," for instance). (-1) Recovery: It's Starting To Come Back - Whenever you as a player find out something that you did not know about Pencer's past, he Recovers a point of Mind. (-1 per level) Influence: Memory (-1) Modifier: Memory -> Mnemonic Trigger - You may expend a point of Influence: Memory to cause someone who was just involved in a challenge against you (in which you were both main participants) to remember something that you, as a player, believe he/she does not know about Pencer. This is not necessarily something that Pencer knows about himself, but it must be something that you know about him, ala Dim Recollections. (2* per level) Flaw: Something Went Horribly Wrong - Whenever Pencer currently has any memories about the project he was involved with at the Ivory Tower, he has the "Dark" Trait (and at level 2 or above, the "Bloody" Trait as well) and is at a penalty to all challenges equal to his level of Something Went Horribly Wrong. --- Requires In-Game Events To Progress Further --- You have the "Device" Trait. (-1) Property: Reincarnation Of Lazarus - You are at a bonus equal to your base Mind attribute in all time-related Ability challenges, regardless of whether you initiated them and whether you are a main participant or just assisting. (-2) Attack: Alignment (Mind) - You may declare that any one opponent does or does not have the "Ticking" Trait permanently. This does not count as a Mind effect, and may not be detected and cured accordingly. (-1) Ability: Universal Timekeeping [mind] (Mind vs. Integrity Challenge) - If successful, add or remove the "Clock" Property to/from a Location. You may not be assisted in this challenge. (-1 per use) One Use: Set The Clock (Requires Mind vs. Integrity Challenge) - You may communicate with the GMs between sessions to create a special Property of your choice (though reasonability will be enforced). You may activate this Ability during a session to give the "Clock Tower Plaza" Location that Property permanently. You must announce to the room that you are doing this; anyone present may assist either side of the challenge. At most once per session. (-1, -2, -3, ...) Recovery: Charting The Sequence - The "Clock Face" Recovery of the Clock Tower Plaza is twice as effective for you as it would normally be. At the second level of Charting The Sequence, it is three times as effective, etc. (-1 per level) Influence: The Clock Tower (0) Modifier: The Clock Tower -> Time And Memory - You may expend points of Influence: Forgetting, Influence: Memory, and Influence: The Clock Tower interchangeably. (3*) Flaw: Treading The Serpent's Tail - As Pencer recovers more and more of his identity, he stands at the threshold of the very virally damaging knowledge that first destroyed the project he was involved with at the Ivory Tower. This will result in a series of GM actions during the session that may result in his destruction, and that of those connected with him, if left unchecked.
