Origin: Esselford ----------------- (-2) Property: The Scientific Method - You may not, by any means, become convinced of a belief that could not theoretically be disproven. An effect that would convince you of such a belief simply fails to work on you; if it was a One Use, its initiator may take the Ability back. (-1) Attack: Some Things Are Certain (Soul) - If your target possesses the "Foggy" Trait, he/she loses it and should speak with a GM when possible. Such persons are inherently unscientific, and must be shown the way of reason. (-1) Ability: Familiarity With Technology [mind] (No Challenge) - You may activate this Ability to utilize a mechanical device that has restrictions that would otherwise preclude you from taking advantage of it. For instance, if a transmitter's tag said "You must possess the 'Wired' Trait to use this device," you could activate Familiarity With Technology to use it once regardless. (-1 per use) One Use: Travel By Aeroplane (No Challenge) - You may activate this Ability at the end of a session to book a plane to visit Esselford with any number of other characters accompanying you. The visit is presumed to take most of the time between sessions, depending on how much you want to accomplish there. (-1 per level) Recovery: Advancing Human Learning - When you have learned or discovered something previously unknown to humanity's greatest minds, Recover a point of Mind per level of Advancing Human Learning. (-1 per level) Influence: Reason (-1) Modifier: Reason -> Dispassionate Debate - You may expend a point of Influence: Reason to use a Mind Attack when victorious in Soul Combat as a main participant. (1* per level) Flaw: Reliance On Technology - Victoria's technology is primitive compared to Esselford's; as such, it is correspondingly more difficult for you to get things done here. This Flaw makes most of your influence actions more difficult when you are not in Esselford between sessions.
